The Call for Papers/Panels for the AFK Colloquium 2027 is now available. The conference will take place 10–12 March 2027 in Freiburg, organised in cooperation with the Peace Institute at the Protestant University of Applied Sciences Freiburg. Under the theme “Between Repression and Conflict: Authoritarian Change and Its Societal Consequences,” the Colloquium examines the tensions between anti-democratic change, authoritarianism, conflict, and peace — both globally and within Europe and Germany. Submissions for papers, panels, posters, or alternative formats are accepted until 15 October 2026; registration opens in December.
