From March 8–9, 2027, the AFK Young Researchers Working Group will once again host its conference for early-career researchers, which will take place in the lead-up to the 2027 AFK Colloquium and is aimed at scholars and students in the interdisciplinary field of peace and conflict studies, as well as individuals from non-academic backgrounds.
Under the title “Research Under Pressure? Peace and Conflict Studies in Times of Political Shifts,” we invite you to engage in discussion about your own research. With this Young Scholars’ Conference, we offer a platform for ongoing or completed master’s theses and doctoral projects, as well as emerging research ideas or creative formats.
You can find more information in our Call for Papers. Contributions may be submitted in German or English.
If you’re interested, please send us an abstract of your contribution or format by November 11, 2026, to jungeafk@gmail.com. We look forward to your ideas!
