AK Environment, protests, resource conflicts
Welcome to the website of the AK Environment, Protests, Resource Conflicts
The working group Environment, Protests, Resource Conflicts aims to contribute to better networking between different sub-disciplines that deal with conflicts over nature, land and resources. In this respect, the discussion of both theoretical and methodological issues is at the forefront. The working group would also like to contribute to improving the visibility of the research problem.
The topics of the working group are based on a broader understanding of conflict: from everyday resistance and open protests to armed conflicts and civil wars. At the same time, it is located at the interface between environmental issues, political ecology and the dynamics surrounding land and resources. Potential topics include resource and land conflicts, climate-induced flight and migration, environmental conditions and protest, land grabbing, green economy and related conflict dynamics. Related topics (North-South discourse, post-2015 agenda, etc.) are also part of the discussion within the working group.
We are happy to welcome anyone who would like to participate and help shape the content of the working group.
