Diversity Representatives

The diversity officers are:

• Dr. phil. Miao-ling Hasenkamp (Senior Research Associate,
  University Rostock)
• Dr. Siddharth Tripathi (University Erfurt)

As a result of the amendment to the Articles of Association, which was approved by a majority of the AFK at this year’s General Assembly, the mandate of the Diversity Officer (including his deputy) was introduced. The candidacies of Ms Hasenkamp and Mr Tripathi were unanimously approved, confirmed and accepted for the next two years (2025-2027). Together with the Women’s Representatives, the two elected Diversity Officers are members of the AFK Executive Board.

The following action plan takes centre stage and is discussed and implemented in close cooperation with the
Board members.

The Diversity Mission Statement adopted by the Diversity Working Group already forms a solid foundation. Building on this self-image, we will formulate concrete goals and pragmatic steps to create a supportive and inclusive environment within the AfK – a foundation on which future generations can build.
A particular focus will be on further raising awareness of diversity in the association’s work. For example, a guest lecture or a roundtable as part of the annual colloquium could help to embed the topic more firmly. At the same time, it is worth learning from other scientific associations.
