The quarterly journal Wissenschaft und Frieden (W&F) is today supported by several organisations and institutions from the peace research and peace movement. The AFK is one of these organisations. Situated between peace research and the peace movement, the journal covers new developments and discussions on the topics of peace, disarmament, security and conflict and makes them accessible to both specialised circles and a broad readership. It thus contributes to the research-based transfer of the results of peace and conflict research. W&F aims to promote multi- and interdisciplinary communication, build a bridge between science and users and sees itself as a specialised organ of peace and conflict research.

The AFK has a representative on the board of W&F’s editorial committee. Numerous members of the AFK publish regularly in the journal, and the editors of W&F would like to encourage AFK members to continue to offer manuscripts for publication, to make suggestions for the selection of topics or possibly to participate in the editorial board. Melanie Hussak is currently a delegated member of the AFK editorial team. Dr Michaela Zöhrer represents the AFK on the board of the editorial committee of W&F.
