The Journal for Peace and Conflict Research (ZeFKo) is the leading academic journal for peace and conflict research in the German-speaking world. It is edited by Hanna Pfeifer and Hendrik Hegemann at the IFSH in Hamburg on behalf of the AFK Executive Board and is published by Springer.

ZeFKo publishes a broad spectrum of articles from various theoretical and methodological traditions and offers a central forum for current research and discussions on issues of peace, conflict and violence. It is explicitly interdisciplinary in nature, contains articles in German and English and guarantees its high standards of content through an anonymous scientific review process (double blind peer review). As part of the DEAL-contract, all articles with a corresponding author are published open access at a German institution that is part of DEAL.

The editors welcome all submissions and enquiries from the various fields of peace and conflict research, including ethnology, geography, history, cultural and literary studies, education, philosophy, political science, psychology, law, sociology and theology, as well as the natural sciences.
