Social and political processes at the local level can play a major role in shaping the outbreak and the dynamics of violence, but can also undergo major transformations after violence has ended. A new special issue project brings together researchers interested in these micro-level dynamics. The aim is to publish a special issue of the Zeitschrift für Friedens- und Konfliktforschung (http://www.zefko.nomos.de), the leading journal for the German peace and conflict research community.
